MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – October 20, 2014 5:00 PM

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
Jessica explained the process required to establish a PILOT for the current solar farm. Two votes are required from the voters. The first vote is to establish who will negotiate on behalf of Tolland. Second vote is to approve the negotiated agreement.
Sue Voudren, Town Clerk discussed the possibility of a secret ballot to be held at the Special Town Meeting. A motion needs to be made and seconded with the request. A vote by majority will then decide. Sue suggested that the town write a bylaw.
Ed signed a mutual aid agreement for the Tolland Police Department. The Selectboard will look into prior meetings to determine if one was already agreed upon.
The Police Department will be hosting a Halloween party on October 25th.
